Serge, you asked to see what I've been up to, so here it is.


Built a deer and rabbit fence around the garden, and planted the garden.




Built this play set. (tremendous amount of sanding here)




Rough shaped 10 bridges




Finished two of them with inlay






Bridge with matching fingerboard





That's it. Cleared the workbench to get ready for joining tops and backs, but have to take the wife to see the Da Vinci Code today so probably won't get serious until tomorrow.

Hey, thanks Ron, way to go on a series of well done jobs my friend! You been quite busy for a supposedly old man! I really love your bridge design, this is something i'll have to put some thought in, in the next few days! The inlaying of the fingerboard is remarkable too!

I'll bet the Granddaughters will have fun for a long time huh?

Say hi to Pam for me and enjoy the movie my friend, you sure deserve it!

Just returned from the movies, Anthony. I absolutely loved it!!!!    I haven't read the book (me and probably one other guy), but my wife has. She thought the movie held pretty close to the book. I know there is a lot of controversy of the book and movie, and I can see where various groups, especially Catholics, but also Christians could find the movie distasteful. It certainly doesn't make Catholics look good. However, if you watch it as a movie, as entertainment, it is a very entertaining movie. Very well done. It's long, but I was so engrossed trying to figure out all the twists and turns that the time flew by. Tom Hanks is great, as usual. I highly recommend it.

Thanks, Hesh. Makes sense to me. All my bridges are alike so it is certainly easier to run a batch through while things are set up.

Thanks, Serge. Yeah, I think the play set will outlast the kids, it's really heavy duty.   I will say hi to Pam for you, and you can tell from my review, requested by Anthony, that I did enjoy the movie.

Ron, it's nice to know someone besides myself has a life outside the shop! I've been doing a lot of work in the garden and orchard lately. And a little guitar making.
